Knightcap by Wizard Trees: Zorroz Meets Tea Time
Knightcap Wizard Trees genetics bring together two popular American varieties: Zorroz x Tea Time. This feminised hybrid has a particularly interesting family tree, combining several well-known names associated with sweet, candy-inspired cannabis genetics.
Zorroz is a cross of Zkittlez and Runtz, while Tea Time combines Zkittlez with RS11. This means both parents share a connection to Zkittlez, giving Knightcap a strong foundation in the sweet, fruity characteristics associated with this genetic family.
Wizard Trees has created a variety that brings these influences together while developing its own distinctive appearance and aromatic profile.
For collectors interested in contemporary American genetics, Knightcap offers an appealing combination of Zkittlez, Runtz and RS11 heritage.
Flavour and Aroma: Sweet Candy and Fruity Notes
One of the standout features of Knightcap is its rich, candy-inspired aromatic character.
Wizard Trees describes an intensely sweet profile, with the familiar confectionery-style qualities associated with Zkittlez genetics taking centre stage.
The Zorroz parent brings together the sweet characteristics of Zkittlez and Runtz, while Tea Time introduces another connection to Zkittlez alongside the influence of RS11.
Rather than focusing on heavy fuel aromas, Knightcap takes a noticeably sweeter direction.
This makes it an interesting addition for collectors who enjoy comparing the different aromatic profiles found within the Zkittlez family.
What Makes Knightcap Genetics Special?
Nightcap stands out because of its distinctive genetic background and striking appearance.
Wizard Trees describes deep purple colouring, bright orange hairs and a thick, frosted finish. These contrasting colours give the variety a particularly recognisable visual identity.
Another interesting feature is the double Zkittlez connection in its family tree. Although many modern hybrids include Zkittlez somewhere in their background, Knightcap features it through both parent lines.
The additional Runtz and RS11 influences make this combination particularly interesting for anyone following the development of modern American cannabis genetics.
This strain is available as feminised photoperiod cannabis seeds and is classified by Wizard Trees as an Indica/Sativa hybrid.
The breeder also lists an approximate THC figure of 25%, although laboratory confirmation is still pending, so this should not be treated as a verified result.
Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, we think Knightcap is a great addition to the Wizard Trees collection, especially for collectors interested in Zkittlez-related genetics.
We particularly like the combination of Zorroz and Tea Time, which brings together several recognisable American varieties in one interesting family tree.
Its candy-inspired aromatic profile and striking purple appearance also help distinguish it from the breeder’s more gas-focused releases, such as Gridlock and Gas Gimlet.
For collectors exploring premium American genetics and the latest Wizard Trees varieties, Knightcap is well worth a closer look.
