Moonfog by Humboldt Seed Company: Genetics and Background
Moonfog by Humboldt Seed Company is a feminized, indica-dominant hybrid created from Moonfog x P. Face OG x High Octane genetics. For collectors searching specifically for Moonfog Humboldt Seed Company, this is a fuel-heavy modern strain that brings together several strong OG-style influences.
Humboldt Seed Company describes this strain as indica dominant, with the P. Face OG and High Octane genetics adding plenty of depth to the family tree.
Unlike some of the breeder’s fruitier strains, Moonfog is built around a much darker profile. Gas, fuel and cream are the main themes here, giving it a very different personality from Mango Sherbert, Jelly Donutz or other sweeter Humboldt releases.
Flavour, Aroma and Character
The aroma is where this veriety really makes its identity clear.
Humboldt Seed Company describes the profile simply as gas, cream and fuel. That might sound straightforward, but the contrast between the heavier fuel notes and the smoother creamy side gives the strain plenty of character.
The gas is bold and pungent, while the cream adds a softer edge underneath. High Octane in the family tree helps explain why the fuel character is such an important part of this release.
We like that Humboldt hasn’t tried to describe this one with a huge list of flavours. Moonfog is clearly aimed at collectors who appreciate strong, gassy genetics rather than tropical fruit or candy-style profiles.
What Makes the Humboldt Seed Company Version Different?
The three-part genetic background gives Moonfog a clear breeder identity.
Humboldt Seed Company combines its Moonfog line with P. Face OG and High Octane, creating a strain that stays firmly connected to the heavier OG and fuel side of modern American genetics.
It is also noticeably different from many newer Humboldt Seed Company releases that focus heavily on berry, citrus or dessert flavours.
That makes this strain useful for collectors looking to add something darker and more gas-focused to a wider Humboldt collection.
Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, we think this is one of the more distinctive fuel-led strains in the Humboldt Seed Company catalogue.
The Moonfog x P. Face OG x High Octane lineage gives it an interesting background, while the gas, cream and fuel profile makes the overall character very easy to understand.
We particularly like that it doesn’t chase the same candy and tropical flavours found in so many modern hybrids. Moonfog has a heavier personality and knows exactly what it wants to be.
For collectors interested in Humboldt genetics, OG-style strain families and bold gas-heavy profiles, Moonfog is certainly one worth considering.
