Apple Blossom by Humboldt Seed Company
Apple Blossom cannabis seeds by Humboldt Seed Company bring together two of the breeder’s better-known early varieties, Blueberry Muffin and Dream Queen, in a balanced F4 hybrid built around sweet apple terpenes, heavy resin and a notably short flowering period.
Humboldt lists Apple Blossom as approximately 50% Indica and 50% Sativa, with average THC around 27% on its current European product page. The breeder also gives a flowering period of approximately 45 days, making this one of the quicker photoperiod varieties in the Humboldt Seed Company range.
At SeedMasters.com, the flavour is what initially gets our attention. Apple strains often lean heavily towards sour green fruit, but Apple Blossom takes a softer direction with sweet apple and delicate floral notes.
Blueberry Muffin x Dream Queen
The two parents bring quite different qualities to Apple Blossom.
Blueberry Muffin is responsible for much of the distinctive terpene character. Humboldt has long regarded it as one of its more recognisable aromatic lines, and that sweeter fruit influence carries through into Apple Blossom.
Dream Queen contributes the more substantial side of the cross. Humboldt specifically describes it as one of the company’s higher-producing lines, helping give Apple Blossom dense flowers and plenty of overall presence.
The finished F4 hybrid is described as having some variation, but the sweet floral apple profile remains the defining feature.
We like the simplicity of the pairing.
There isn’t a complicated list of trendy genetics hidden in the background. Blueberry Muffin brings flavour, Dream Queen brings substance, and Humboldt has worked the cross through several generations to create Apple Blossom.
Sweet Apple and Delicate Florals
The terpene profile is quite different from many of Humboldt’s louder modern releases.
The breeder describes sweet apple and delicate floral aromas, creating something softer and fresher than the gas, candy and heavy tropical profiles dominating a lot of current American genetics.
We would place the main character around:
Sweet ripe apple
Fresh floral notes
Soft fruit sweetness
Light berry undertones
A clean, delicate finish
The floral side is important.
Without it, Apple Blossom could easily become another straightforward fruit strain. Instead, the lighter floral character gives the apple a fresher feel and helps explain the name particularly well.
At SeedMasters.com, we see plenty of strains with aggressive terpene descriptions. Apple Blossom stands out by being a little more restrained.
Frosted Flowers with Blue and Purple Hints
Humboldt Seed Company describes Apple Blossom as producing dense flowers with strong trichome coverage and occasional hints of blue and purple.
That appearance makes sense considering the Blueberry Muffin ancestry.
The breeder clearly values production too. Dream Queen was chosen partly for its ability to produce substantial flowers, and Apple Blossom combines that trait with the more aromatic side of Blueberry Muffin.
The result is a variety where flower presentation, resin and flavour all seem to have received attention rather than one trait dominating the whole selection.
Uplifting and Energetic Character
Humboldt describes Apple Blossom as uplifting and energising, which fits nicely with the balanced 50/50 genetic split.
Rather than being presented as a particularly heavy Indica or an intensely stimulating Sativa, the overall personality sits somewhere in between.
The current EU listing gives average THC at approximately 27%, so despite the softer name and floral aroma, Apple Blossom is still positioned as a potent modern hybrid.

Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, Apple Blossom is a good example of a strain that doesn’t need an outrageous flavour description to be interesting.
Sweet apple is already less common than berry or tropical fruit, and the delicate floral background gives the profile a much cleaner personality than a lot of modern candy-heavy hybrids.
We also like the genetics.
Blueberry Muffin and Dream Queen are both established Humboldt lines, so Apple Blossom feels closely connected to the breeder’s own catalogue rather than being built entirely from fashionable outside genetics.
The reported 45-day flowering period is another feature that immediately stands out, especially for a balanced photoperiod hybrid.
For collectors browsing the SeedMasters.com Humboldt Seed Company range, Apple Blossom offers recognisable Humboldt genetics, attractive resin production and a sweet floral apple profile that is refreshingly easy to understand.
