Gelato 33 by Flavour Chasers: Sunset Sherbet Meets Thin Mint Cookies
Gelato 33 Flavour Chasers genetics bring together two famous Californian varieties: Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. This Indica-dominant hybrid belongs to the popular Gelato family, which has become one of the most recognisable names in modern American cannabis genetics.
Also known as Larry Bird, Gelato 33 is a particular selection from the original Gelato genetic line. It shares its parentage with other Gelato varieties but has developed its own reputation for distinctive colours and characteristics.
Flavour Chasers offers a feminised seed version of this popular American variety, making it an interesting addition to the breeder’s collection.
For collectors interested in premium Californian genetics, Gelato 33 offers a combination of established heritage and recognisable characteristics.
Flavour and Aroma: Sweet Cream, Berries and Mint
One of the standout features of Gelato 33 is its rich, dessert-inspired aromatic profile.
The variety is associated with sweet, creamy aromas, fruity berry notes and subtle hints of mint. These characteristics reflect the influence of its famous parent varieties.
Sunset Sherbet contributes a fruity sweetness, while Thin Mint Cookies introduces a deeper character with earthy and mint-inspired undertones.
Together, these qualities create an interesting balance between sugary sweetness and more traditional cannabis aromas.
Some descriptions also highlight a slightly herbal character, adding another dimension to the overall profile.
Unlike varieties that focus entirely on tropical fruit or pungent diesel aromas, Gelato 33 offers a combination of creamy dessert notes and subtle earthy influences.
What Makes These Genetics Special?
One of the main attractions of Gelato 33 is its connection to the wider Cookies genetic family.
Sunset Sherbet descends from Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties, while Thin Mint Cookies is a recognised selection of Girl Scout Cookies.
This gives Gelato 33 a strong connection to several influential Californian varieties.
Flavour Chasers describes Gelato 33 as an Indica-dominant hybrid, available as feminised photoperiod cannabis seeds.
The breeder also highlights its distinctive appearance, with dense flower formations, bright orange hairs and colours ranging from dark green to purple.
These colour variations are not guaranteed, making the variety’s different genetic expressions particularly interesting.
An approximate flowering period of 8–9 weeks is listed in the breeder’s specifications.
Although this strain shares its parentage with Gelato 41, the two names refer to different selections from the Gelato family. This distinction is worth recognising when comparing their genetic backgrounds.
