Mint Glacé by Dr Krippling
Mint Glacé by Dr Krippling combines two very different sides of modern cannabis genetics: the bright, unmistakable character of Amnesia Haze and the sweeter, cooler profile of Gelato Mintz.
It is a pairing that makes sense as soon as you look at the parents. Amnesia Haze brings citrus, spice and a lively cerebral edge, while Gelato Mintz adds creamy sweetness, fresh mint and a calmer finish. Neither side appears to disappear into the cross, giving Mint Glacé a flavour and character that should feel familiar while still having an identity of its own.
Dr Krippling has also selected this as a quicker-finishing feminised variety. The breeder lists an indoor flowering period of around seven to eight weeks, with outdoor plants potentially finishing during September. For a tall, vigorous hybrid with strong Haze influence, that is a particularly appealing turnaround.
Amnesia Haze Meets Gelato Mintz
Amnesia Haze needs very little introduction. It is known for its sharp citrus aroma, traditional Haze spice and energetic personality. Gelato Mintz comes from a more modern direction, bringing creamy dessert notes, cooling mint and a smoother, more relaxing quality.
Mint Glacé sits comfortably between them.
The Amnesia side keeps the profile fresh and lively, while Gelato Mintz adds enough sweetness to round off the sharper edges. You can expect mint to be one of the easiest notes to recognise, but it is unlikely to be the harsh peppermint flavour the name might suggest.
It sounds softer and creamier, with sweet undertones beneath the freshness. Citrus, herbs and light Haze spice should also come through, particularly as the aroma opens up.
The likely flavour mix includes:
Fresh mint
Creamy sweetness
Lemon and citrus peel
Herbal Haze notes
Light spice
A soft dessert-style finish
We see plenty of mint strains at SeedMasters.com, but the Amnesia Haze background gives this one a brighter feel than many of the heavier Mintz hybrids. It should have enough sweetness to appeal to modern flavour fans, while retaining some of the sharper character associated with classic Haze genetics.
Tall, Vigorous and Quick to Finish
Mint Glacé is described as a tall variety with strong, energetic development.
Its height and vigorous structure reflect the Amnesia Haze side of the cross, although Dr Krippling has worked to shorten the finishing time considerably. The breeder reports approximately seven to eight weeks of flowering indoors, with a possible September outdoor finish under suitable conditions.
That combination is one of the more interesting things about Mint Glacé. Faster feminised varieties are often compact and heavily indica influenced, whereas this one appears to retain a much taller and more expansive hybrid structure.
The breeder also highlights generous flower production, giving Mint Glacé more than just speed and size. It sounds like a substantial variety rather than one selected purely to finish early.
As always, breeder timings and physical descriptions are best treated as a guide. Individual expressions may vary, but Mint Glacé has clearly been created to offer a quicker version of this type of Haze-and-Mintz hybrid.
Bright at First, Smoother as It Develops
The reported character follows the genetics quite closely.
Amnesia Haze provides the more invigorating beginning, with an upbeat cerebral quality that is described as positive and energising. Gelato Mintz then brings a calmer and more euphoric side, softening the experience as it develops.
That gives Mint Glacé a clear progression rather than one flat effect from start to finish. It begins brighter and more mentally active before settling into something smoother and more relaxed.
The overall character is described as:
Uplifting
Cerebral and lively
Euphoric
Mentally positive
Calm as it develops
Relaxing without being immediately heavy
It sounds well balanced for a cross involving Amnesia Haze. The Haze influence should keep things interesting, while the Gelato Mintz side prevents it from feeling too sharp or restless.
Dr Krippling mentions possible therapeutic appeal in the original information, but cannabis genetics should not be presented as a treatment for any medical condition. Anyone seeking medical advice should speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
More Than Just Another Mint Hybrid
Mint-flavoured genetics are everywhere now, and many begin to sound very similar after a while.
What gives Mint Glacé a different angle is the Amnesia Haze parent. Rather than placing mint on top of a heavy Kush or dessert base, Dr Krippling has paired it with something lighter, sharper and more energetic.
The result should feel fresher than a conventional Gelato Mintz hybrid. The creamy sweetness is still there, but citrus and Haze spice add another dimension.
It also offers an interesting contrast between its tall structure and relatively short flowering period. That should make Mint Glacé particularly attractive to collectors looking at faster photoperiod varieties that do not follow the usual compact indica formula.

Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, we think Mint Glacé is a much more interesting cross than a standard Mintz hybrid.
The Amnesia Haze parent changes the whole direction of the variety. Instead of relying entirely on creamy sweetness, Mint Glacé should have a brighter lemon-and-herb edge running through the mint. That gives the flavour more contrast and stops it from becoming too soft or predictable.
We also like the fact that Dr Krippling has kept the tall, vigorous character while bringing the flowering time down to around seven or eight weeks. Fast photoperiod strains often lean towards compact indica genetics, so it is good to see something with a more expansive Haze-style personality in the same category.
The effects sound equally well judged. The Amnesia influence provides the early lift, while Gelato Mintz adds the calmer finish. It should feel energetic enough to have some personality, but not so sharp that the relaxing side gets lost.
For collectors browsing the SeedMasters.com range for a quick-finishing feminised variety with Haze freshness, creamy mint and a balanced uplifting character, Mint Glacé is well worth a closer look.
