Tropicana Cookies Auto by Barney’s Farm
Tropicana Cookies Auto cannabis seeds by Barney’s Farm bring the orange-heavy flavour of Tropicana Cookies into a modern F1 autoflower with plenty of potency and a surprisingly layered terpene profile.
The genetics combine Tropicana Cookies × BF Super Auto #1, with Girl Scout Cookies and Tangie sitting further back in the family tree. Barney’s Farm lists the finished variety as approximately 60% Sativa and 40% Indica, with THC levels reaching 25–27%.
At SeedMasters.com, the orange character is what immediately gets our attention. Citrus appears in plenty of strains, but Tropicana Cookies Auto isn’t simply described as generically lemony. Fresh orange peel sits at the centre, backed by tropical fruit, cookie-dough sweetness and a slightly earthier floral finish.
Tropicana Cookies in an Autoflower
The original Tropicana Cookies brings together two extremely recognisable American lines: Girl Scout Cookies and Tangie.
That pairing explains most of what makes the autoflowering version interesting.
Tangie provides the brighter orange and tropical citrus influence, while the Cookies side introduces a sweeter, richer quality that Barney’s Farm describes as developing into distinct cookie-dough notes.
BF Super Auto #1 has then been used to bring those characteristics into an automatic F1 format.
Barney’s Farm gives Tropicana Cookies Auto a complete cycle of approximately 70–75 days, placing it among the breeder’s faster modern autoflowering releases.
Fresh Orange, Tropical Fruit and Cookie Dough
The flavour is easily the strongest part of the strain for us.
Fresh orange peel comes through first, giving Tropicana Cookies Auto a sharper and more natural citrus quality than the sugary orange-candy flavour found in some modern hybrids.
Tropical fruit adds sweetness underneath before the Girl Scout Cookies ancestry begins to show itself through a richer cookie-dough character.
Barney’s Farm describes the profile around:
Fresh orange
Tropical citrus
Fruity sweetness
Cookie dough
Sweet candy
Earthy undertones
Light floral notes
The earthy and floral background is important because it stops the orange and sweetness becoming too simple.
At SeedMasters.com, we think that’s what makes Tropicana Cookies Auto more interesting than another fruit-led autoflower. There is a clear progression from bright citrus into something sweeter and richer underneath.
Dense, Frosty Flowers with Warm Colour
Barney’s Farm describes Tropicana Cookies Auto as producing dense flowers with substantial resin coverage.
The breeder also notes that warmer colour tones can emerge as the flowers mature, complementing the bright orange and tropical character of the strain.
Its overall structure remains Sativa leaning, reflecting the 60% Sativa influence while still producing the dense flower formations associated with the Indica side of the hybrid.
The breeder reports an indoor height of approximately 90–110cm, with outdoor examples potentially reaching around 100–120cm.
Creative at First, Relaxed Later
Tropicana Cookies Auto is described as having a noticeably uplifting beginning.
Barney’s Farm associates it with creativity, euphoria and happiness, giving the initial character a brighter and more sociable feel.
Relaxation gradually develops underneath rather than dominating immediately.
That creates a fairly broad hybrid personality: mentally uplifting and energetic at first, followed by a calmer, happier physical finish.
With breeder-reported THC levels between 25% and 27%, this is also one of the more potent autoflowers currently listed in the Barney’s Farm range.

Our Take on Tropicana Cookies Auto
At SeedMasters.com, we’d choose Tropicana Cookies Auto primarily for the terpene profile.
Orange strains can sometimes become very one-dimensional, but this one has enough going on underneath to keep things interesting.
The Tangie influence gives it that bright orange-peel character, while the Girl Scout Cookies ancestry takes the flavour somewhere richer with sweet cookie dough. Add the earthy and floral background and you have considerably more depth than a straightforward citrus auto.
We also like the 60/40 balance. Despite being Sativa dominant, Barney’s Farm describes a relaxing side developing beneath the initial creative and euphoric effects, so the character doesn’t sound relentlessly energetic.
For collectors exploring the SeedMasters.com Barney’s Farm autoflowering range, Tropicana Cookies Auto offers recognisable American genetics, serious breeder-reported potency and one of the clearer orange-and-cookie flavour combinations in the collection.
