White Widow x Big Bud by Female Seeds: Genetics and Background
White Widow x Big Bud by Female Seeds is a feminized hybrid created from two genuine classics: White Widow x Big Bud. For collectors searching specifically for White Widow x Big Bud Female Seeds, this is one of the breeder’s longest-running and best-known releases.
Female Seeds originally introduced the strain through its X-Line in 2010. It proved popular enough to move into the breeder’s permanent collection, where it has remained ever since.
The genetic idea is simple but effective. Big Bud brings its well-known Skunk-influenced background, while White Widow contributes the stronger, more pungent side of the cross.
Flavour, Aroma and Character
This strain has a much more traditional aroma than many modern dessert hybrids.
Female Seeds describes White Widow x Big Bud as having a strong, pungent smell with a fruity and Skunky flavour.
The Skunk influence gives it a deeper, unmistakably old-school character, while the fruitier side adds some sweetness and keeps the profile from becoming too heavy.
We like that it doesn’t try to be overly complicated. There are no long lists of candy, cream or tropical flavours here. Instead, White Widow x Big Bud stays focused on fruit, Skunk and that strong classic cannabis aroma associated with both sides of its family tree.
What Makes the Female Seeds Version Different?
Female Seeds describes this strain as a poly-hybrid.
The breeder started with the same F1 White Widow x Big Bud cross, then selected two separate populations and stabilised them over several generations. That breeding process helped establish the traits Female Seeds wanted to keep in the finished line.
That history is important because White Widow x Big Bud is now a name you may see from more than one source. The Female Seeds release has its own established breeding history going back to 2010.
Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, we think White Widow x Big Bud is a good example of why classic genetics still deserve space alongside newer releases.
The White Widow x Big Bud pairing is straightforward, but both parents carry serious history. The fruity, pungent and Skunky profile also gives this strain a very different personality from today’s Cookies and Gelato-heavy catalogues.
We particularly like that this is a genuine long-running Female Seeds release rather than a newer version created around a familiar name.
For collectors interested in classic European genetics, White Widow families and established Female Seeds releases, this strain is certainly one worth considering.
