Bucks Fizz Auto by Dr Krippling
Bucks Fizz Auto by Dr Krippling is a bright, fruit-forward autoflower built around the lively citrus character of Mimosa genetics.
The name suits it well. Much like the cocktail, the flavour is sharp, sparkling and easy to enjoy, with fresh lemon and berries leading the way. Floral notes soften the fruit slightly, while a touch of acidity gives the whole profile a crisp finish rather than allowing it to become too sweet.
Dr Krippling has reworked these genetics into feminised autoflowering form while keeping the uplifting personality associated with the original Mimosa line. The result sounds cheerful, energetic and full of flavour—exactly the sort of variety that stands out among heavier, earthier autos.
Citrus, Berries and a Floral Finish
The aroma is led by zesty lemon, with a fresh citrus sharpness that comes through straight away. Sweet berry notes sit underneath, adding colour and fruitiness without turning the profile into a sugary candy strain.
There is also a floral side to Bucks Fizz Auto. It gives the aroma a lighter, slightly perfumed quality and works nicely against the sharper acidity of the citrus.
The breeder’s description suggests a mixture of:
Fresh lemon
Sweet berries
Sharp citrus peel
Light floral notes
A clean acidic edge
It is a simple combination, but one that makes sense. The lemon keeps it lively, the berries add sweetness and the floral notes smooth everything out.
We come across plenty of citrus varieties at SeedMasters.com, but Bucks Fizz Auto sounds less like a heavy lemon-fuel strain and more like a fresh fruit cocktail. It should appeal to collectors who prefer bright, clean terpenes over deep gas, earth or spice.
Reworked Mimosa Genetics
Mimosa has earned a strong following for its citrus-heavy flavour and upbeat character, so it is easy to see why Dr Krippling chose it as the starting point for Bucks Fizz Auto.
The aim here appears to have been preserving those recognisable qualities while presenting them in an autoflowering format. The sharp citrus is still at the centre of the profile, but the addition of berries and floral notes gives Bucks Fizz Auto a softer and slightly sweeter identity of its own.
It does not sound like a complicated cross created simply to stack as many fashionable flavours together as possible. Instead, the breeder has kept the idea focused: citrus, fruit and an uplifting overall character.
That straightforward approach is part of what makes the strain appealing.
An Energetic, Euphoric Character
Dr Krippling describes Bucks Fizz Auto as uplifting, energetic and euphoric.
The effects sound much brighter than those of a heavy indica-style autoflower. Rather than leaning towards deep physical relaxation, the emphasis is on a positive mood and lively cerebral sensation.
Its reported character includes:
An uplifting mental effect
Energetic euphoria
A cheerful, positive mood
A bright cerebral quality
A lively rather than heavily sedating finish
The fresh lemon and berry aromas seem to suit that personality particularly well. Everything about Bucks Fizz Auto sounds light, colourful and upbeat, from the cocktail-inspired name to the sharper citrus flavour.
As always, individual experiences can vary, and its strength should not be underestimated simply because the flavour sounds approachable.
Our Take
At SeedMasters.com, we think Bucks Fizz Auto will appeal to people who want an autoflower with a fresher and more energetic personality.
The Mimosa background gives it a strong starting point, but it is the balance between the lemon, berries and floral notes that makes the profile interesting. Citrus strains can sometimes become overly sharp, while berry varieties can lean too far into sweetness. Bucks Fizz Auto appears to sit comfortably between the two.
We also like that the name actually fits the genetics. The flavour sounds bright and slightly sparkling, with enough acidity to bring to mind the famous cocktail without feeling forced.
This is not the most complicated variety in the Dr Krippling collection, and we do not think it needs to be. Its appeal is easy to understand: recognisable Mimosa influence, sharp fruit flavours and an upbeat autoflowering character.
For collectors browsing the SeedMasters.com range for something citrus-led, cheerful and a little different from the usual heavy autos, Bucks Fizz Auto is well worth a look.
