Papaya Sherbet by Fast Buds: Genetics and Background
Papaya Sherbet by Fast Buds is a feminized photoperiod hybrid created from Papaya (Oni Selection) x Sunset Sherbet genetics. For collectors searching specifically for Papaya Sherbet Fast Buds, this release combines a tropical Papaya selection with one of Fast Buds’ chosen Sunset Sherbet keeper cuts.
Fast Buds lists THC at around 25–30%, placing it among the more potent varieties in the breeder’s feminized collection.
The parentage gives the strain a clear modern American influence. Papaya contributes the sweeter tropical side, while Sunset Sherbet brings a richer dessert-style character and helps give the finished strain its distinctive balance.
Papaya Sherbet Flavour, Aroma and Character
The flavour profile is centred around papaya, sweetness and cream.
Fast Buds also mentions subtle citrus undertones and a slightly bittersweet edge, which gives the profile more depth than a straightforward tropical fruit strain.
The papaya brings a ripe, exotic sweetness, while the Sherbet side adds a softer creamy quality underneath. Citrus cuts through some of that richness and helps keep the overall character fresh rather than overly sugary.
What we particularly like is that the flavours all make sense together. Tropical fruit, cream and light citrus create a clear theme without turning into an unnecessarily long list of unrelated notes.
What Makes the Fast Buds Version Different?
The genetics give this release a clear breeder-specific identity.
Fast Buds paired Papaya from Oni Selection with one of its preferred Sunset Sherbet keeper cuts, so this isn’t simply a generic strain carrying two popular names.
The breeder describes Papaya Sherbet as a balanced hybrid, rather than pushing it heavily towards either indica or sativa.
It also sits firmly within Fast Buds’ newer photoperiod feminized range, showing another side of a breeder still widely known for its autoflowering genetics.
Our Take on Papaya Sherbet by Fast Buds
At SeedMasters.com, we think Papaya Sherbet is one of the more appealing tropical releases in the Fast Buds feminized collection.
The Papaya x Sunset Sherbet combination is easy to understand, while the sweet papaya, cream and subtle citrus profile gives the strain a distinctive identity.
We also like that the Sherbet influence doesn’t completely overwhelm the tropical side. Papaya remains an important part of the character rather than simply becoming another generic dessert hybrid.
For collectors interested in Fast Buds genetics, tropical fruit strains and modern Sherbet crosses, Papaya Sherbet is certainly one worth considering.
