Rainbow Melon by Fast Buds: Genetics and Background
Rainbow Melon by Fast Buds is a feminized photoperiod hybrid created from Melon x Rainbow Chip genetics. For collectors searching specifically for Rainbow Melon Fast Buds, this release combines one of the breeder’s own carefully selected Melon keepers with Rainbow Chip from Exotic Genetix.
Fast Buds lists THC at around 25–30%, placing it among the stronger feminized varieties in its current collection.
The parent selection is particularly interesting. Fast Buds chose its Melon keeper for its sweet, fruity character, while Rainbow Chip brings another layer of modern American genetics to the cross.
Rainbow Melon Flavour, Aroma and Character
Melon is very much the main theme here.
Fast Buds describes the profile as a smooth combination of sweet melon, fruit and candy-like notes, with some descriptions also mentioning a light citrus twist.
The overall character reminds us more of sweet melon sweets or jelly than fresh-cut melon alone. That gives the strain a modern dessert-style quality without pushing it into the usual Cookies or creamy Gelato direction.
What we particularly like is how easy the flavour profile is to understand. There’s plenty going on, but the central identity doesn’t get lost under a long list of unrelated aromas.
Sweet fruit and melon remain at the centre from start to finish.
What Makes the Fast Buds Version Different?
The use of Fast Buds’ own Melon keeper gives this strain a clear connection to the breeder.
The other half of the cross comes from Rainbow Chip by Exotic Genetix, bringing recognised American genetics into the project.
That combination makes Rainbow Melon more than simply another strain using a fashionable fruit name. The breeder has clearly identified where both sides of the genetic background come from.
It is also a full-term feminized photoperiod release rather than one of the autoflowering varieties Fast Buds is traditionally best known for.
Our Take on Rainbow Melon by Fast Buds
At SeedMasters.com, we think Rainbow Melon is one of the more appealing fruit-focused strains in the newer Fast Buds feminized collection.
The Melon x Rainbow Chip pairing is straightforward, while the sweet melon, fruit and candy profile gives it an immediately recognisable personality.
We also like seeing Fast Buds work with its own selected keeper alongside genetics from Exotic Genetix. It gives the strain a genuine breeder-specific identity rather than relying entirely on the name.
For collectors interested in Fast Buds genetics, modern American hybrids and unusual melon-led varieties, Rainbow Melon is certainly one worth considering.
