Strawberry Gorilla Auto by Fast Buds: Genetics and Background
Strawberry Gorilla Auto by Fast Buds is a feminized autoflower created from GG4 Auto F6 x Strawberry Pie Auto F5. For collectors searching specifically for Strawberry Gorilla Auto Fast Buds, this is one of the breeder’s best-known modern autos and a strain with some impressive competition results behind it.
Fast Buds describes the finished line as 55% sativa and 45% indica, with THC reaching up to 28.4%.
The genetics make plenty of sense. Strawberry Pie Auto brings the sweeter berry side, while GG4 Auto adds the heavier Gorilla influence and a more pungent, fuel-led character.
Strawberry Gorilla Auto Flavour, Aroma and Character
Strawberry sits firmly at the centre of the profile.
Fast Buds describes a strong strawberry candy character mixed with berry, diesel and gas. It starts sweet and fruity but has enough pungency underneath to stop it feeling like a straightforward candy strain.
That’s probably our favourite part of the profile. The strawberry sweetness is easy to recognise, while the Gorilla side adds something darker and more powerful in the background.
There are also creamy berry notes that help bring the two sides together.
Rather than having a huge list of unrelated flavours, Strawberry Gorilla Auto sticks to a fairly clear theme: strawberry, sweet berries and gas.
What Makes the Fast Buds Version Different?
This is one of those strains where the breeder’s own selection history really matters.
Fast Buds developed the variety as an F5 feminized autoflowering polyhybrid, using advanced generations of both GG4 Auto and Strawberry Pie Auto.
It also has some serious awards behind it. Strawberry Gorilla Auto took 1st place at the first American Autoflower Cup in Los Angeles in 2023. Fast Buds also reports that it earned the Highest Combined Terpenes title in the Home Grow Hash category at the 2023 Farmer’s Cup.
Those results help explain why it has become one of the more recognisable strains in the Fast Buds catalogue.
Our Take on Strawberry Gorilla Auto by Fast Buds
At SeedMasters.com, we think Strawberry Gorilla Auto is a good example of what Fast Buds does particularly well.
The GG4 Auto x Strawberry Pie Auto combination gives it an easy-to-understand genetic background, while the strawberry candy and diesel profile gives the finished strain plenty of personality.
We also like that there is more behind the name than clever branding. Its competition history and advanced F5 breeding give collectors something more substantial to look at.
For anyone collecting Fast Buds genetics, modern Gorilla hybrids or strawberry-heavy autoflowering varieties, this is definitely one of the breeder’s standout releases.
